The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

Das Schweigen der Lämmer

The young FBI agent Clarice Starling is assigned to the incarcerated psychiatrist and killer Hannibal Lecter, who occasionally enjoys eating his victims. He is willing to provide clues to the serial killer "Buffalo Bill" if Clarice trusts him with the secrets of her childhood. The situation dramatically escalates when "Buffalo Bill," so named because he partially skins his victims, kidnaps the daughter of a senator. Furthermore, Lecter makes a spectacular escape from prison. While the FBI follows a false lead from Lecter, Clarice encounters Buffalo Bill because of a tip from Lecter. The decisive duel takes place in the grim chambers of his basement.
